Ron says:
The American Library Association is one of the oldest library associations in the world (founded in 1876). It's lofty goal is to "provide leadership for the development, promotion, and improvement of library and information services and the profession of librarianship in order to enhance learning and ensure access to information for all."
To that end they put together various lists of books that they feel "meet the criteria of both good quality literature and appealing reading" for various age groups.
We're all very proud to have learned that Jeremy Love's BAYOU was nominated as one of the "Great Graphic Novels for Teens"! Of course, we as comic fans know the value of the medium so this sort of mainstream, literary recognition is extremely important and speaks to the quality of the work. While perhaps not flashy it still very exciting!
Congratulations, Jeremy!

I remain dedicated to nailing a slot in Zuda's ever-growing pantheon of dream, so your success is my success. Therefore, I can't possibly thank you enough, Jeremy, for paving the way, but I'll start by thanking you nonetheless. All the best.

Nice job. When Night Owls comes out, I'm sure it will make the list.
