This is a story about a boy named Billy Butterman, a loser, a putz - what have you, just trying to get through grade nine. High school is a total nightmare. All the cool guys at pick on him, chicks don't dig him and everyone at the school calls him "Butterpants," because he had bladder control problems till he was twelve. That is, till the day he finds a hobo in an alley. Billy notices the bum has a full bottle that he’s not drinking from and the bum tells him it is because the bottle is full of awesome and that a a sip will make him awesome as well. He warns the boy that a person can get too awesome, but will Billy heed his words?

Thanks to everyone for reading B of A over the last few months, it has been super fun to work on. I'd like to thank all the other creators at Zuda for welcoming me into the club, you guys are amazing. I'd also like to thank Kwanza, Ron and Nika for being such amazing people to work with. And again thanks to all you people for reading. My career so far has been pretty dedicated to action and horror. This was another side to me I just had to get out. Thanks again!!!!! The Battle of the Bottles is going to be amazing!
The inspiration for the suit oddly enough was what I was planning to build as a Halloween costume but then realized that would take far more effort then I'm willing to put into a Halloween costume. Plus I wanted to combine a knights suit of armor. I think at the time I was designing it I was having a Pink Panther movie marathon. I have all the movies in that sweet Shag box set. I was watching the first film and in the climax Inspector Clouseau is in this suit of armor during the masquerade. The scene is just ridiculous.

Thanks Oyster Boy and Gnar Duce. Gnar, that is exactly what I'm going for here. When I started thinking about doing something for Zuda I was looking at the work they already had and thought, well I already have my own High Moon like thing on Transmission-x (not as good but same genre.) my tendencies are to do genre type work especially horror or action. Zuda already has lot's of that so I wanted to do something in the complete opposite direction. I had just finished watching South Park for the first time. I had seen a few episodes here and there, but I actually sat and watched the whole thing, every season back to back. I wanted Bottle of Awesome to be my South Park, Simpson's or Family guy. When I was a kid I read a bunch of Archie's and always pictured way crazier things to happen next. So here you have it. I kind of sum up BofA to people as an Archie comic but Popeye is a classmate. However my sense of humor is quite a bit darker than those two strips. Thanks again for reading!
These characters are great. Like a modern Archie Gang,(which I love to this day), they are so likeable & easy to relate to, believable in their wacky world. Really like this!
