What an awesome story! Loved it. Art was great, the pacing was also perfect, and the ending totally worked. I don't even need to hear that perfect song. You nailed it.

Fantastic little story. I think the first 8 pages were one of the best-executed launches ever on Zuda: there was no fat in them, they managed to tell a self-contained mini-story while laying out the longer story to come, they introduced all the characters and even found room for a punch line. Anthology-worthy! If I were a comic writer that's what I'd aim for.

.. what can i say, this was a brilliant comic to read, i kept reading from page one till finish, the premise was simple yet the execution of the story as a whole was just captivating. Page 41 made me laugh so hard! lol best page of this comic among all the other 'best pages' lol. I haven't read all the comics here in Zuda, but i find this to be the best so far. Only one thing now..i want more! ;)
oh btw “the greatest song in the world” made me relate to Tenacious D's tribute song, which made this comic even funnier to me :p

In a few hours the last screen of Melody will be posted.

During it's run I avoided replying to any comments, I felt weird for me to talk about a work that was still in progress.

Now, I would like to thank all of you that enjoyed and supported my comic. Thanks for the comments and the helpful criticisms. And thanks to Zuda for giving me this opportunity. It was a great experience, one that I cannot wait to repeat ;)

If you liked my comic let people know. One thing I regret is that I was unable to upload pages at a quicker pace but at least now that the story is complete it can be enjoyed in its entirety.

For those of you attending SDCC drop by the Zuda booth. I'll be there 12:30-1:30 Thursday to Saturday and 11:30-12:30 Sunday, come and say “hi”.

So thanks again and hopefully we'll meet again here soon with a new Zuda comic.

I agree with Illinest in that this is one of the best. Perhaps the update schedule and the subject made it a little less high profile but the skill is all there on the screen. It wasn't a favourite to begin with but it sure was by the end. Congratulations to Ilias Kyriazis. I saw a comic in a shop the other day and thought that the art looked familar! It was! Nice to see him in print too.

A damn good comic. On Zuda, if you can be sure of anything, you can be sure of something special. The theme of a divine object being seeked out by the ways of the world isn't a new idea. Even the idea of the carrier being young and essentially good is not new. However, what is new is the idea of it being a song. A medium so easily transferable. You also seem to flesh out the characters. From Damien to Mel to the three great antagonists, all are molded, made into unique beings. Even if, on the surface, they seem like stereotypes, one factor makes them shines and they become connectable.

Although I have this in my favourites I wasn't following it. Yesterday I read everything up to date and I enjoyed it very much Ilias! Your story is very interesting and we need more comics like yours on Zuda. Will it end on screen 60 or are you planning to do something like in Matrix 2? Because if you are, please don't.

I love the angle and pacing on this. I hadn't read this at all until now. I am sort of glad, as I love reading big chunks at a time to really get into the comics here. The fact that we immediately get the meat of the situation without futzing around with the specifics of how everything happened, etc. We see just what we need to jump right in to Melanie's dilemma and the ensuing craziness. It's a neat statement with a sort of thriller wrapped around it. Good stuff.

Through chance, Mel comes into possession of the melody to “the greatest song in the world”... but not the lyrics. The tune comes straight from the Muse Of Song and it’s of supernatural power, everyone who hears it will love it! Various groups of people (politicians, the church, advertisers), they all want it for their own means. By providing their own lyrics they could shape it to be the ultimate propaganda song. Some try to buy Mel, some to charm her, some to intimidate her. And when ruthless ex-spy, Damien, goes after her she soon finds herself running for her life. She has to stay alive and do the right thing with the divine melody in her head...Now if only she could find out what the right thing is!
