Eric Gray remembers very little about his life before the day he plunged twenty stories from the window of a New York City building. He remembers the orphanage but nothing of where he came from or who sent him there in the first place. All he knows for sure is that he miraculously survives the fall, leaving a massive, smoldering crater in the middle of the street where he fell. Soon after, the military becomes involved, covering up the incredible incident as a terrorist attack, and sending Eric away to an undisclosed location. Now, nine years later, Eric finds himself working for the government as a secret agent, his first mission leading him to Istanbul, Turkey to recover a mysterious briefcase. The contents of which will lead him on a journey to a Secret Defense Project that holds the answers to his disturbing origin.

Fabulous! I hope that you continue with this.
that second page is awesome.

You'll get them next time bro. Have fun coming up with another idea. Cannot wait to see it. Bye:)
not bad. I was impressed by the artwork and story. Keep doing your thing. It's an excellent comic. You'll win next time for sure.
Chris, this is pretty damn awesome. Beautiful job illustrating those backgrounds...above all, those really caught my attention.
Thanks for the compliments, zaothedog. I keep hearing the same thing... Which is making feel worse! :P
This was the best by far this month - sorry you lost. Maybe you need a campaign manager. Find your Napoleon and you will be Dynamite!
No thank you! Thanks to all you guys again for the support. In a few months I'll have another submission ready. So I guess I should start campaigning early. ;)
I loved this. Thank you!
Looks Awesome Chris! Good Luck and Best Wishes!

The Black Operator
Heya Chris. I must say I find it odd that in so many of these Zuda contests the first place slot is magically trumped at the last minute. I'm not saying to be a poor loser, not at all. If it only happened once, I'd say "tough break and better luck next time", but it seems to be more and more common on Zuda now. Do these voters just come out of their caves in mass exodus on the last day? (And this is no offense to Foz either - I'm sure his win is perfectly legit. It's just difficult to not be a cynic when I see this happening over and over now.)

All that aside, great work and, as others have said, don't to let it get ya down. When we lost it was hard to not be bummed, but when we truly looked at the contest that month, we didn't deserve to win because we weren't the best comic out of the 10. But you... yours should've won, in my humble opinion. Just keep on truckin', my friend. Maybe we'll all meet up at ComiCon anyway, Zuda or not. Until then.
Damn.... I was sure you guys were going to win.

Guess it shows what I know. ;)
-
I understand that you may be dissapointed... but don't be, you have can be proud of the comic you have made.
-
Good luck with your future projects.
Honestly, I don't know how the winners are chosen sometimes. Your story/work was the best in this round by quite a margin. And you had my vote from the beginning. Don't let this get you down! You've got some excellent work.
Chin up Chris! You have a huge talent, keep working at it I'm sure you'll have a bright future in the comics biz!! Keep submitting, just don't do it when I try to get mine in here!!LOL.....jokes of course (not really)
ey chris! just stepping by to cheer you up man! dont you doubt for a minute of the great stuff that you have going on here!I understand that you really neaded this and that it was your dream, but dude; parades of trains can be filled with people that have that same dream so, when you get real with this, the only thing that should count here is vision and talent! and that you have plenty my friend!
Tough luck, man. I wonder what you come up with next, but it'd better have robots, too.
I am impressed with this comic, I like the graphics and you definately has a truck load of talent. My preference for the best graphics went to Deadly and made me want to see more. He got my vote but you are in my favorites as well. Hope to see you in the winners list soon.
Commiserations Chris - yours is a great comic.
I'm a big supporter of Foz, but your work is awesome too. Next time eh?
Please say you'll re-submit this comic, or continue it and post on another website. It radiates awesome, and deserves continuation. So does Deadly, which makes even second place a thing of wonder. Keep up the good work, and I hope to see Children of Armageddon agian some day.
Congratulations on the success this month. You sure pulled in one hell of a count!
Nice to see you're planning to start another too. Right after the competition in December ended I started cracking on my next one too. Best of luck!
Sorry bro,it seems odd with how close it is. Oh Well..next month is yours!!! Love ya!! B.
Tough luck Chris, you'll get it next time. Meanwhile, thanks for an introduction to the site and we'll be watching for you!
That's the spirit man! I was pulling for ya, but I think all of Australia came out to vote for Deadly. Yours is a 5 star comic, and in any other competition, and effort like this would have won. I'll keep an eye out for your new stuff man.
Hard luck, Chris. Keep on keepin' on and you'll get 'em next time!
well is finish, congraatulations for your job, I hope you find a new home for your comic :D You have done a great effort :)
Thanks so much for the support, everyone. I'm really shocked and humbled at how many came here to vote for me. Thanks again everyone. Time to get crackin' on the next competition! :)
You guys broke Zuda! he he - really great effort and push. I am really impressed with all you've done. Win or lose you gotta be proud man.
AWESOME!!!
heyGreatcomic!!!
alright...you got my vote. Cleary the stronger entry art and story wise. I'm pulling for you.
Last time, is the photo finish. good luck to everyone.
I'm an amateur at portraits but love doing it .....it takes me days, sometimes weeks. I can't imagine the time it took you for all the detail you've put into this. It shows a real love for what you do Chris, my fingers are still crossed!
You deserve this win!! way more detail in this than in the one ranked # 1 right now. I would love to see a complete comic book...and am sure I will very soon. Keep up the great work!!!
This comic has way more detail than the one in first place. This one should WIN!!!
Great comic & hope you win!!
This comic is AWESOME!!!!!! I HOPE YOU WIN
Excellent Work!!! Very Talented.
I hate it when the comic I'm rooting for gets bumped off #1 position on the last day. This is the third time already.
I hope enough people vote to get it back, though. This deserves to win.
Excellent....and thanks to Dr. S for the link...
superb design, your 'people' remind me of McFarlane a little, God bless you & yours
