@rgmap: The intrepid reporter covering it all and trying to learn the true identities of Mollyax and Frappuccinogal, who look a lot like his sisters. But they CAN'T be his sisters because his sisters wear GLASSES.

@mollyax & frappuccinogal: The superheroines arrive. Molly's weapon of choice? An ax (duh), while Frappuccinogal prefers taking villains down with a hot splash from her ever present frappuccino - RADIOACTIVE frappuccino. How'd the frappuccino get that way? Bagleman left it in Dr. Zoltar's test chamber during an experiment. Frappuccinogal's frappuccino has the power to take down villains, but is it her secret weakness as well????
@charmalarm: The city's most charming hero, his power is the ability to set off any alarm at will - your alarm clock, your car alarm, your house alarm, even the alarm function on your cell phone. The charm? That's just good manners.

@drewt333: Thanks! John's tried getting me to watch old Andy Griffith reruns and I just can't get into them. Although, Hogan's Heroes is fun, and a bit creepy knowing what I know about Bob Crane. Oh, and PYEW PYEW PYEW!
@Bagelman & Dr. Zoltar: Thanks! Have you two considered forming a supreteam? Your handles are great for it. I may have to write a story right here in this comment thread using everyone's handles.
@BradHP: Thanks, Brad. You could be the nemesis of Dr. Zoltar & Bagelman. I haven't decided who's good and who's evil yet, though. Maybe in the next comment.
@robberry237: You can be this story's Huggy Bear. You're the CI, they guy with the info. . . for a price. What's the price? Fluffy bunnies. Pink ones. Lots of 'em.

@staraka: Thanks. I've been complaining for years that sci-fi has gotten too dark, and I want it to be bright and shiny and fun again. This is a bit more muted than my ideal sci-fi vision, but that's why John's the artist and not me. Left up to me, I'd just paint everything in lime green, turquoise and pink. And glitter. With feathers.
@Chompa: Did RoboCop have an on/off switch? I remember that Data on Trek: TNG did, which kinda blew my mind. All that automated technology, that positronic brain, and Dr. Soong couldn't figure out how to turn it on and off w/o a button. Excuse me, I just threw up geek all over the comment thread. Let me clean that up. brb.

Talk about momentum! Has any other Zuda comic moved from sixth to third place so steadily? I don't remember it ever happening.
Here at Zuda creators have a month to look at the specific interests and audiences their comic can bring in. Good to see a couple of creators who've not exhausted those possibilities too soon and keep trying to find ways to connect people to the site. Making smart, non-superhero comics is one thing, but finding a new set of people who might like that kind of material is a huge value for all of us.
(oh, and they live in Philly, too. I love that.)

@Dane - Please don't vote more than one time for our comic. We appreciate your enthusiasm, but not only will your second vote get subtracted from our totals, but probably your first will as well. There's a reason that the Zuda editors only allow one vote per email address - not so we can all sign up with multiple email addresses, but so the contest remains fair - one vote/email address/person.

Once again, thank you for your enthusiasm, but if you wouldn't mind, could you please log back in and take your second vote away? THANKS!

@DaneTheFanboy: Thank you so much, Dane. John and I are both really hard on ourselves while we're working - we want to put the best we can out there, we want it to be original rather than a rehash of something else, we want it to resonate beyond what's visceral. I hope you reckon right!

Detective Janet Moore from the elite Green Squad is transferred to Grey Squad: a sleepy, out of the way precinct where old cops wait to retire and the most notorious criminal is an unrepentant jaywalker.
Most of the old timers of Grey Squad are suspicious of this hot, young, cybernetic whippersnapper in their midst and are openly hostile about her unwelcome presence. However, Moore is a professional and enforces the law to the best of her ability, despite her co-workers’ misgivings.
While Moore adjusts to life in the low-tech squad room (filing cabinets filled with. . . paper!), the slower pace of her colleagues (spontaneous. . . naps!), and the selectively lenient law enforcement practiced by Grey Squad’s Captain, she uncovers a web of corruption that threatens the safety, the pensions, and digestive health of the entire department.
