A love story for the over and the under medicated, the disenchanted, the excessively violent, and the soft-spoken.
In the small Eastern Canadian town of Elmwood, a teenage girl who commits murders to cope with her mental instability, falls for the elusive night roaming boy who has been taking all of the blame.
Love between the two blossoms as their personal obsessions bring their lives closer and closer together. Redemption and renewal for the two will lay in unveiling the secrets of Elmwood’s rich history before the town, consumed with paranoia, closes in on them.
Welcome to a valley of emotional turbulence.

Alarid - Thanks :)
.
coolceruleanblue - haha thanks. Just a scheduling mix-up I guess. It's going to be up Friday. :)
maybe Zuda ate page 30 because it was made up of so much awesome.
@thehousebehind - The comic shows that she is suffering in the school environment, and we all know how dangerous that melting pot can become.
I have to agree though that one comic a week is a bit to slow, and I wish that they could find a way to increase the output, without placing strain on the artists.
It is interesting placing a person who is unstable in an almost supernatural setting. Will something break again?
lilaclover, Jan123 - Thanks! :)
thehousebehind- You also can't stab anyone to death with a plastic flamingo.
Love the Meduxnekeag river map on page 29 :) Love the NB references.
thehousebehind- You do realize this is fiction right? Who cares if its "incongruent with any known serial killer pathology" haha. I don't know of too many good movies, comics or music that perfectly mirror reality. If they did that the entertainment industry would quickly become be pretty boring.
And if you don't like it don't read it! Pretty simple. As you put it you "don't have years to sit around and watch this unfold" The reality of these online comics that are only able to release a page a week is that it does take a while for the story to unfold. I happen to enjoy it.
I am not sure what to say really. As a woman who has suffered from mental difficulties at several different points in my life that required medication intervention I find the idea of "murder therapy" to be a bit insensitive, and also incongruent with any known serial killer pathology. A troubled teen girl turned serial killer is a little weak, and naive when one considers the levels of depravity and years of abuse needed for a human to become a serial killer. It's too difficult to suspend disbelief, too contrived, and too poorly paced. 29 weeks and we have gotten what equates to the first 15 minutes of a movie, if that. As a reader I don't have years to sit around and watch this unfold.
thehousebehind - Thanks for commenting. You're mistaken about the direction I'm going and both character's fates. Which is fine because I intended it to be that way at this point. Also all the characters are based on myself primarily Lily more so than the male character. And Coma White has been a favourite song of mine since I was 15 or 16 and meant alot to me, so I'm glad that has shined through to you as an inspiration influence. :)
This appears to be just another Twilightesque swiss-cheesy romance plot with the comics author cast as the male romantic interest; a teen wank fantasy sprung to life.
*Sorry for 3 posts, but my original one had to be broken down to fit all the text.
In 29 weeks I have learned that Lily has some sort of ill defined mental illness that she takes medications for(Coma White any one?) and can't deal with whatever her problem is without killing people for really poor reasons(like them not being dimwits). She can also expertly kill 3 men with steak knives in her teen years, only to get knocked completely out by the waif like ghost(oyster) boy.
What a bunch of anti-feminist BS this is turning out to be. It sucks to be a poo-pooer because I was really hoping this wasn't going to go down the well worn path of "weak female saved by mysterious stranger"....but it did and I should have known better than to think otherwise.
I don't know where page 30 is. I emailed Zuda about it on Friday.
.
And thanks for the fanart Bryy! Very cool :)

Pure genius.
Every time I read another page,
It makes me love it more and more.
I think this is a great comic, and it's
so intense and captivating. LOTV has a great
storyline which I can totally relate to.
in other words, It pwns. Total kudos to you my dear friend

love her pose/expression on panel 5 of the latest page 28
Lily atop a mound of skulls is such a sweet image...
The beautiful stuff just keeps on coming...
Wonder where he's taking Lily off too...I hope she wakes up soon! He did sorta "save" her from the cops...in some way, I mean he could've just ditched her and booked it to save himself! Then again he could just be out for some nonspecific revenge against her...Dx
Great artwork and can't wait to find out more about who the guy is. Seems like a hero kind of guy at first glance. I do have one question, though. Does Lily imagine the heads of her victims talk to her, or do they literally talk? Maybe it's something that'll get answered later anyway, but it's a nice mysterious touch.
I was just going to say that, Lude! Instead I'll say: Excellent work, every page ... inspiring.
Excellent work, every page ... compelling.
Nice work, the story is moving ahead well. I like the blood filled pages. haha
*gasps* He did NOT just hit Lily! Go get 'im Lily!
Woow man great work, :O waiting for more :D .
Well done, Adam! I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for each new page.
"Now we can begin!"
Awesome. Dude looks nuts!
Cool as ever, but Alarid: you wish she had some 'redeeming qualities'? How can you not love Lily? She's a sympathetic hero!
LotV has been consistently awesome. I only wish it updated faster.
STAB HIM WITH A STICK
I don't know how, but you have me sympathizing with Lily. Could be that I've had my own struggle with panic disorders, and while our means of coping may differ, I can relate. At any rate, good stuff man, hope she kicks ghost boy's a$$.
Hey Adam, threw out a little plug for you and LotV in an interview I just did a couple weeks ago for Love Buzz.

Keep up the good work!
Oooh I wanna know what happens next! A new character? Some sorta character that's connected to the rat? =D Thank god Lily made it out of there.
It's 2010, redeemable qualities are incidental. ;)
I wish she could have some redeeming qualities.
Thanks guys. :)
