Well done so far! My vote is for you. I think the story and and the drawings are well rendered but I'd propose to alternate the density of colours, drawing elements and text. Otherwise it becomes saturating. You dont do it in the overall story (so far) and even the pages tend to be homogenous.
Bravo again!

I agree with Brock about the setting yp of the premise, and with the coimbined excellent colour, artwork and - hallelujah! - light-hearted tone and alternative angle (i.e. not about superheroes or sci-fi action stars), I think Bow & Arrow have hit the target and taken my vote...

Off to a good start. The dynamic between Bow and Arrow reminds me of Dylan Dog and Groucho. Art is beautiful. Great stuff, really.

Gorgeous art, good dialogue and an intriguing ending gets my vote. Plus, you set up the premise perfectly, an unfortunately rare thing in Zuda competition land.

This is silly, and not as fun as I thought it'd be, quite frankly. Bow and Arrow seem to be the least interesting part of the strip, and unfortunately take up most of its time. I'd rather read about a stripper named Jackie Oh! solving a murder (with Lucille Ball in a thong along for the ride...), but oh well... Art's nice, colors are moody, but every detective show needs a simple premise, and I guess I don't get what this one's is; a guy who lives in the 40's and a nerd? Doesn't even really make sense, let alone seem at all interesting.

And while I assume it ties into some sort of cover up, etc., why didn't the cops bother to hide anything at the murder scene? They just left? I don't get it...

My answer to mpd57's review:
I disagree completely. Maybe it’s because I’m Swedish, but I get the european humour it’s going for. Like a good french movie, it goes beyond conservative conventions that expect cartoon-like funny images to match a joke-oriented humour.
I also don’t understand why it has to have a label to please you. What if it’s “black, slapstick, whimsical” all at the same time, or none?
I really appreciate intricate, good art in EVERY circumptance. It’s extremely superficial to think that because a story has a “lightness”, the work that goes with it should be less accurate or detailed.

I like it! The art and color are reeeeeeally good. The writing's a tad on the punny side, but I'm digging the mystery angle. Big props on the lettering too. It fits the art style to a tee.

mpd57: Thx that you spend your time thinking and writing about our work. Also, thx for your comments and the link about my art. You are right that what we call comedy its not my style. There is humor at my stories, but they are not comedy. Althought, i like to try working at different kind of stories and this is my first try at comedy.

MURDER! EXCITEMENT! SUSPENCE! THIS IS THE STORY OF BOW & ARROW!
The story follows two detectives in a murder investigation, which leads to a huge web of international conspiracy to cover up one of religion's societies and 90's pop music secret. The noir setting mixed with surreal humor makes this a very unique tale that examines all the clichés of crime fiction.
It all begins on a rainy night. Right above a 50s themed strip club, a Jackie-O look alike discovers her roommate is dead. Being turned down by the police, she decides to call the local detective agency. There she meets with Philippe Arrow, the weathered old private eye forgotten by time. And Maximilian Bow, his loyal but eccentric sidekick.
The two detectives, intrigued by the heinousness crime and the police's reluctance to deal with it, begin the investigation. It will lead them deeper and deeper in a world of conspiracies, murder and utter idiocy!
Do you dare to follow them?
