Hey Tony,

Don't think we've ever been properly introduced but we both had strips in the DFC (I did Spectrum Black)and when I saw you were on here, I had to show my support. Great comic, great artwork, all the best!

Voted for, Mr Lee! Good luck with it, but I'm pretty sure that even if you don't win this month (and there's some great competition isn't there?) you'll find a way of treating us to the rest of the story somehow! Am I right?

The artwork is A+ material, its pretty, the colors lend nice atmosphere, and its just gritty enough to suit the story very well.
.
But with all the vampire/werewolf, and space/zombie/occult Nazis stuff out there... it feels like this story has already been told a dozen times and this is just another remix of well-covered ground.

Sorry! I meant no disrespect. Sometimes what sounds funny in my head doesn't quite translate well to printed word. I think this is great what Zuda is doing, as well as what you and other writers and artists are doing on social networks like twitter. I personally have looked at a lot of works I probably wouldn't have because of mentions by the creators on twitter. Good luck w/the competition.

Pages and pages of people voting and saying "hey, I voted for you!" Wow - one would think you went on twitter and begged for votes or something... :)

Very good story. It's always interesting to see Dracula taken out of his 'verse and placed in different contexts. & zombies! Man, how can you go wrong with zombies. :) So, now what happens? Does Harker survive the jump? Is Renfield leading them to their deaths? Why the hell would Dracula team up with Hitler? Really, the egos alone would be enough to suffocate the room.

@RedOKirk, @DunphyWill - I'm British, and our views of 'dorms' differ from US versions. When you say a contest for your dorm, what do you mean? Surely the fact that you have registered and voted for the best story this month that involves Nazi Vampires is enough? And if I did hold a contest, how would it work? I can't draw, so a commission is out of the window...
-
I tell you what. And this isn't a contest, it's a promise. If I win (and that's a BIG if, so far) - I've named three people in SOS Squadron so far - Harker, Tank and Tommy. Whenever I create a new character / name one of the unnamed established ones, I'll name them randomly after someone who's posted on here that they voted, favourited me, and passed the message on to others. How does that sound? Not a contest - more a loyalty bonus.
-
And if I don't win, I'll use a couple of your names in a Doctor Who comic just to keep things fair, so there's a winner either way :-) Hows them apples?

Secondly we have @VDelsante who, while spending the days as manager of Jim Hanley's Universe, the coolest comic shop in NYC (and the people hosting a signing by yours truly next Wednesday, 28th October, 6pm-8pm) is also a damned good and underrated writer in his spare time and you should totally check his stuff out.
-
@Eli, @RedJenJen, @Andres, cheers for the good words - and remember, if you liked this, tell your friends to come and read it too - but remember there are nine entries here apart from mine all worth reading! But if they do enjoy it, please, prod them into registering and voting - whichever one they vote for, as this is the only currency we're spending here :-)

First off, returned favours - Ol' @VladimirDraco there is actually the star of the Gothic adventure game, The Dracula Files from eGames.com - go look and give that as much exposure as you possibly can, as they're all kinda awesome and have given me a lot of support with this and Harker.

I like this comic, great art and interesting story, however I don´t know how to feel about the characters, is interesting seeing recognizable characters in fresh situations, but on the other hand those characters are being used and abused over and over again... Overall this is one of my two favorites this month, very pro in every aspect. Great work

Oh, just terrific. More exposure for those murderous Harkers. I object to the concept of the lord of the vampires working for a mere mortal, evil and deranged as he may be. I trust that Dracula will ultimately be revealed as the one truly pulling the strings. Otherwise, I quite enjoyed it, and look forward to this Colonel Dracula triumphing over those simpering fools.

Now I've seen the whole post (thanks for linking it on the forum)I can see that it was out of context - but you can see where it could be confused, right? it does come across as 'Hate Tony Lee.....Joke!' rather than explaining from the start... Don't remove it, it's fine - but hey, hows about not aiming at a rival creator to shill for votes?
-
WolvesFan - 1) Cheers for the IDW book info, I'd never seen this before. It's still not exact as it's the monster, not the Doctor himself but I'll be sure to grab a copy to make sure I don't go over the same ground. And if you bothered to read my post you'll see that I never saw the 'rest of the post', so I couldn't spin it. But thanks for pointing that out, even though I already explained that. Way to spin my comment into a negative tactic. Drama much your side?

The Dirty Dozen meets Hammer Horror as, during World War II a fearsome group of Allied soldiers fight Hitler’s most monstrous regiment – 666 Platoon – an army consisting of Radio-Controlled Zombies, Werewolves and a unit of Vampires led by Dracule himself!
Hitler wants the Spear Of Ra, an occult item of great power and has sent 666 Platoon to retrieve it, but only the Special Occult Squadron, led by Richard Harker, the grandson of Jonathan and Mina Harker can stop them! But to do so they must race across the blood-splattered fields of Romania with only a bitter, injured resistance fighter to assist them while fighting a gauntlet of Frankenstein’s Monster Nazis, Hitler Youth Werewolf ‘dog squads’, Gestapo Vampires – and their own fallen dead!
Will their 'sniffer', Renfield, the untrustworthy grandson of Dracule’s servant turn on them? Will Captain Harker finish the job his grandfather started? But more importantly - can they save the world one more time before dawn rises – or will Dracule and Hitler finally win?
