Is Detective Smith injured or dead? Where is the kid? Was the killer really after Jenkins? Who will the killer turn out to be? How long will we (and Jenkins) have to wait for the answers? Is this too many questions?

Seriously, Nick and Dani, good work and good luck for a fun and successful weekend!

I didn't know you had a cousin Derek. I have a doodle of a terrorrist frog called Derek in my German book, but thats beside the point. Reginald is a nice name. It's the kind of name you can use in sentences like 'You shot my wife, now feel the wrath of Reginald!' (For the record, I have never said that) but I think that a better name will rise. I don't have a gun, so I just named my tank regiment 'Team Blackstorm'. There are a lot of great (yet slightly sad) names out there, you just have to dig to find them. Horatio? Humphrey? Claudio? Tybalt? Schwienschiggen? Your decision.

Tenoract, The killer's ultimate goal is to piss off God. He attempts to do that here by putting a priest's death in the hands of his peers and in front of his congregation.

As a long-time Catholic I can certainly understand that there are many Catholic priests and former Catholic priests who deserve to be hung and gutted. However, like most long-time Catholics, I have never actually read the Bible so if there is some religious symbolism to the way this priest was killed I have missed it. Is there? I mean, the crucifixes were hard to miss....

DShide, a God-hating killer butchering a priest is not his style?! Are you quite MAD, sir?

Nicholas, my Aunt Mary responds that IT IS YOU who are funny. Also, going on the Jack the Ripper tour in a few days, I'll make sure to point out how inaccurate it is as we all know Jack the Ripper hated God.

In my mention of Dexter I meant his victims style of killings not his own. Think of his brother and the crazy British chick. The different ways that his victims kill their victims and why is what I was referring to. I was merely trying to point out that, most serial killers chose a style of murder based on their own past and psyche. Think of Dexter's brother, having seen his mother dismembered as a child caused him to later dismember women of a similar look to his mother. The crazy British chick, whose name escapes me, was a anti-authority minded pyro-maniac, so burning people alive fits her. The newest murder by our killer seems out of place for his style and psyche. Although I don't know anything about his past so this might the the twist Longabaugh mentions. It just seemed to me as a first impression this was out of character for the P for D killer. Although remember I did say I know nothing of the killer's past so what I think is out of character might not have been explained yet. Also remember I said I wasn't leaving I was just a bit uninterested in the new update. I am staying for the long haul regardless.

DShide - Thanks for sticking around. I think the upcoming twists will show you some of the originality you're looking for.
-
Yes, there is some similarity to the killing in Hannibal; but, I think the staging is completely different. The staging is also what I built the scene around. I wanted the killer to find a way to kill in front of an audience and put some of the guilt on innocent people. This is why he constructed a device with pulleys that would be activated by other priests in front of a full mass. I agree with Bryy, it's about motivation and it's about how it affects others. In my opinion, the similarities end with the fact that he was hung and gutted. The weapon, circumstances and staging are all entirely different.
-
As for the Flagrum (whip) at the crucifixion, completely 100% ripped off. I took it from the bible.
--------------
Matthew Matthews - Thanks! Revolting is what we were going for. I was actually secretly hoping to get letters from church groups. Is there any chance your friend Tuffers will be at San Diego Comic-Con? I'll be there and it looks like Dani will be making the trip out from Italy as well.
--------------
Famished - No, Jenkins has not named her gun. She thinks that all those that do are extremely juvenile manchildren that usually have a steroid addiction and shouldn't be allowed to carry a weapon if they don't respect its damaging effects. My gun, on the other hand, is named Lawmaker.

DShide, serial killer stories are about original killings?

No, they are about motivation. And we've already established the killer's motivation.

I don't understand why you would think that Dexter would be a good place for inspiration. The killings in that show are all the same thing. Plus, it's a completely different tone.

DShide says:

Well staged because it is a near exact copy of a murder in Hannibal. I might also point out that the barb-wire whipping is also from else where. Can't really remember right now though. So basically I saying the murders are getting a tad unoriginal. This is causing me to lose interest, since one of the most important parts of a serial-killer/exploitation story is original killings. You should watch Dexter a bit to see what I'm talking about. Don't get me wrong I am still reading the story, I've just lost a bit of interest with this most recent update.

Detective Abigail Jenkins earned the public's praise when she "solved" one of the most ruthless serial killer crimes in decades. However, numerous inconsistencies in her reports led to an Internal Affairs inquiry. The Mayor ordered Internal Affairs to stop scrutinizing Jenkins in order to give the media what it wanted - a hero. With the adoration of the community and the contempt of her peers, Detective Jenkins continues to investigate the major serial killer crimes that come her way.
Her latest assignment brings her to a brutal crime scene with an ominous message written in blood. The clues at the crime scene start to come together for Detective Jenkins. Not only does this killer use religious imagery in his slayings, but he also has a fetish for nearly getting caught.
After the killer narrowly escapes the scene of a second crime in the same day, Detective Jenkins discovers a young boy in the home of the murdered couple. The boy is of no relation to the victims and is unable to speak a word after the horrors he has seen.
Jenkins' bitter captain would like nothing better than to see her fail horribly. With this in mind, he assigns her to look after the boy, forcing her to contend with a lack of maternal instinct and the constant challenges of a deranged killer simultaneously.
It's a showdown between Detective Jenkins and the "Pray For Death" Killer, but will she figure out what this young boy has to do with the crimes and stop this murderer?
