The mighty Leviathan, the starship where Major Nicholas Jericho and his crew - elite soldiers at the service of the New Terrestrial Republic- travel, suffers a strange accident and crashes on a planet where nothing is what it seems.
Jericho and his men – knowing that other starships also crashed and that survivors might be found – begin a journey where not only their combat prowess is tested but also their ideas and perceptions of everything that surrounds them as the truth about that place is unveiled.
Alien cultures that should have become extinct millennia ago, species that couldn't have possibly interbred naturally and controlled weather patterns are some of the discoveries that shock and confuse Major Jericho and his soldiers because they begin to realize that if they want to leave that cursed planet…
They will have to confront and kill a god.

This work is awesome.
Hope I'd been here before but hey, I'm just in time to vote for it. There's still one day left, Cursed Planed may make it (and it should, I'd hate not to find out what's going on in that planet).
Good luck to the team! :)

Ok! here is my vote... y como casi puedo escuchar mi mala pronunciación en estas letras, dejenme lo digo en español: aqui esta mi voto!!! Muy buen trabajo!
Nowadays I barely read comics because I'm tired of the same genders, backgrounds and characters. Your work is different and has a "nostalgic taste" as well, so it give me some mood to read AND appreciating this comic. I hope you win this contest because it'd be a great contribution to comic industry.
Great job!
This is very good. I like the art and the characters are intriguing. The only problem is that I have seen a good number of sci-fi that starts out this way so I can't tell from the teaser how original the story will be. I will be watching this comic and hope to see more of it.
Ricardo!
Excelente trabajo, estamos orgullosos de ti y de tu equipo!
If only we could have multiple winners this month... :D
I was having a hard time picking between Cursed Planet and Sam 3.14 PI (Yeah, I know, they have comepletely different flavors but I like both of 'em....). I gave my vote to Sam, but I will give you a 5 star rating as well... just because this comic is so good!
I like Sirodova!
yeah i want to read more!!!
Good Luck!! I'd like to know what happens next...
Just want to add, my wife is Costa rican,my son was born there and I lived there for 2.5 years.
As they have previously demonstrated it, Llarena and the Sobreiros have a knack for creating neat sci-fi stuff. Believable characters within their context, that express themselves with body language; a nice cliffhanger; a cast that has potential to be developed, showing just the tip of the iceberg; compelling art... things that are not that common. All in all they achieved what this is all about: they made me want to know more about their universe. So my vote stays here.
And, coincidentally, at least two (that I know of) of July's comics were done by Latino authors: Re-evolution and Joe's Comics! Rob, you are onto something here...
Great Comic!
mpd57, we're lucky to have some of the Spanish speakers translate a bit for us so that we can witness their reactions too. I hope they continue to do so if time permits. *trying to pick up some Spanish by diffusion* Si no hay de que, nos hacen uds. el favor de escribir en ingles tambien! Grammar?!
It does make me wonder what would happen if a contestant offered a Spanish-language comic. There was some talk about that way back on the message boards prior to launch, though I don't remember how it was resolved.
If a Spanish language comic was submitted and met all the other criteria would Team Zuda take a chance on offering it as a contestant?
-Rob
You only have to look at a few other comic showcase sites to see that Zuda is doing a pretty good job of selecting comics from across the board style and content wise, though it could always do more, and allowing and encouraging many artists from around the world to contribute is I think one of it's more successful aspects. If anyone is in any doubt, I want to see creators from as broad a cultural spectrum as possible (as long as they bring that culture with them and don't just try and 'do' American as that would be pointless) and I am pleased to be reading so much Spanish on these talkbacks (even though I don't understand a word). I hope soon to be able to read some other languages I don't understand either.
Great comic. Got my vote.
I agree with you, Steve.
I think Rob touches a very interesting subject.
Should we take this to the Zuda forums?
Llarena
that's an interesting concept, Rob. When Zuda first came out, I of course assumed it would be dominated by citizens of the U.S.A. and it seems by and large it is. But there have been a number of international creators from throughout the globe and an staggering number of Spanish speaking Zuda members. It might be a beneficial idea for Zuda to translate some of the more popular comics on here to reach an ever expanding global market.
Worry not! I got it:
http://www.mpd57.blogspot.com/ !
What's the link, Rob?
For those of you who've not visited mpd57's blog yet I encourage it. Mike is doing a great job reviewing this month's competitors as well as the Zuda model in general and (though he'd hate to admit it) he's quite the Zuda-booster.
He just reviewed this comic (quite favorably) but it opened the door for a conversation I've been meaning to start for some months now.
Should Zuda's catalog have a section of Spanish-speaking comics?
I think so.
-Rob
Yeah! Adelante, Exito y saludos.
Esta historia esta de pelos!!! tienen mi voto :)
K tal LLarenita!!!
Aki andamos apoyandote como siempre, suerte y disculpa la tardanza
well said, Llarena
I’ve received some emails pointing to Victor’s message here so before this get out of control I want to say:
*
We were in first place last week, this week DUAL got more votes and is ahead. I understand that some of you guys want to support your favorite comic and might feel “betrayed” by the changes that occurred in the ranks but, guys, this is the nature of the competition and we have to play by the rules.
*
Some of you told me that you perceive that our comic has done much more promotion than DUAL and maybe it has been that way but we must concede that Michael’s promotion has been more effective and that’s it. Also many people that come to the site (maybe even having clicked our banners) see that it’s a good comic or more to their liking and vote for it.
*
Of course I would like to win, but if Michael (or any other competitor) gets more votes – I repeat – that’s the nature of the competition.
*
If Zuda checks and there’s any irregularities with any competitors votes, they will deal with that privately so I think that I must say that DUAL in these past days got more votes and as of today is winning the competition.
*
So if you really want to help CURSED PLANET, the best way to do it is spreading the word everywhere you can.
*
Thanks
*
Llarena
This ain´t over until the fat lady sings !!! Let´s keep it up, guys !!!

No it isn't.
I have made a serious accusation against DUAL, go to its comments and read it! It is important!
