thanks man -- looking forward we're definitely addressing the concerns you had. and big grats on maps and legends, that was the one I voted for (I think I commented on you in your month saying so).

Wow -- that was something! I'm not 100% of what's all going on (and I sometimes had trouble keeping the characters straight), I'm hooked and wanna read more. Love the artwork and the setting details. Great work!

you make some good points -- especially about the variety in angles/composiiton. it's definitely something I'll be working on. thanks for reading it and giving the feedback. :)

The second thing is that the coloring is very soft/blended. I think it feels too soft overall. You could get a whole lot more form and depth if you balanced more hard edges with the soft blending, especially in the faces. The line work of the art is pretty open so the colorist has the opportunity to create much more excitement by creating more dramatic lighting schemes. Lastly, you have a lot of panels where people are just standing around talking shown from a very basic two point perspective. If you drew these quiet moments from more dramatic angles with more dramatic lighting you would maintain more energy even when not much is happening action-wise. I think your work is good. Its right on the verge of incredible and I think you could just explode with power in your work if you incorporated the things I've mentioned.

I think in some ways you're teetering on the edge of greatness without quite arriving there. I think if you just pushed the envelope in a couple areas your work would become transcendent. First, by using the drab, desaturated color palette that you have you're setting yourself up to give selective highly saturated colors a lot of power. That's a very good thing that you're not doing too much. Your color palette is pretty cool overall, so highly saturated blues don't have quite as much power as warmer colors would. Sin City is an extreme but very effective example of what I mean.

Well, you asked for feedback, so here you go. First of all let me say that I think you're doing very well. Your anatomy seems pretty solid, your page composition is working pretty well and the color palette has a lot of potential. I haven't been reading the story so far because I wanted to see how well your visual story telling was working. It's OK so far. Here is my feedback/critique.

Clarabelle Dust was born into a life of great privilege, in the city of Mae, on the artificial island of Torros. She was a good girl in every measurable sense. Polite, quiet, well educated. Taught to pity those less fortunate. She ate a slice of cantaloupe each morning, with a single pinch of sugar, while her parents and other butter-faced grownups discussed the practicalities of "rescuing" the fallen mainland. She knew little of their politics. They said the world was lost without them; the masses needed a Firm Hand. They said millions starved, ignorance was a disease, and they were the Cure. Clare knew only that her well-heeled shoes were a decadence, that her braces were an extravagance, that jellybeans and long baths and perfumes made her guilty in some fundamental way. It was on her eighteenth birthday that she found an outlet for this shame. She stabbed a police officer in the gut. He did not die, but it still felt like progress. Her parents swore it was a phase. It seems a revolution had begun in the city of Mae. The wise citizens hadn't noticed the signs, though, and were shocked to find it upon them so suddenly, with such fury; a serious threat to the Hope they offered the world. Clare joined the agitators, completely. The politics were still murky, but the actions at least felt pure. She bombed government installations, murdered politicians, exposed corrupt corporate traitors. It was a good time. She was happy...
