Thank you for visiting ZUDACOMICS.COM ("Site"), a website operated by DC Comics, a Time Warner company ("DC", "us" or "we").
Your privacy is important to us. To better protect your privacy, we provide you with this policy ("Privacy Policy") explaining our online information practices and the choices you can make about the way your information is collected and used at the Site. This Privacy Policy is a part of the Terms of Use.
As we operate internationally, and our computer systems are currently based in the United States, your personal data will be processed by us in the United States, where data protection and privacy regulations may not offer the same level of protection as in other parts of the world, such as the European Union. If you create a user account with the Site, you will be asked during the initial registration to consent to the collection and/or processing in the United States of your personally identifiable information ("Personal Information"), which includes the use of cookies as described below.
We are committed to protecting users' privacy. Keeping your Personal Information secure and ensuring your understanding of how we collect, use, disclose and maintain your Personal Information is important to us. We maintain reasonable physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your Personal Information and, while no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure from intrusion, we have used and will continue to use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure the protection of your Personal Information.
Notification Regarding Updates
Please note that we may, at any time and from time to time, modify this Privacy Policy. We will post or display notices of material changes on the Site, but you should also visit this page regularly to review the current Privacy Policy. Once we post or display a change notice on the Site, the changes become effective immediately, and your continued use of the Site will be deemed as irrevocable acceptance of such changes.

The information we collect in connection with our online forums and communities is used to provide an interactive experience. We use this information to facilitate participation in these online forums and communities and, from time to time, to offer participants products, programs or services.
We sometimes use the non-personally identifiable information that we collect to improve the design and content of the Site and to enable us to personalize your experience on the Site. We may also use this non-personally identifiable information and the Personal Information to analyze site usage.
We may disclose Personal Information in response to any legal process (e.g., in response to a court order or a subpoena). We may also disclose such information in response to a law enforcement agency's request. We may also disclose Personal Information to third parties for the purpose of administering and maintaining services on the Site. These third parties are called operational service providers, the specialists that provide internal support to operations and activities and/or for Site design, development, hosting and operations.
Agents and contractors of DC who have access to Personal Information are required to protect this information in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy by, for example, not using the information for any purpose other than to carry out the services they are performing for DC.
DC may disclose your Personal Information to companies whose practices are not covered by this privacy notice (e.g., other marketers, magazine publishers, retailers, participatory databases and non-profit organizations) that want to market products or services to you. You may opt-out or block such use by contacting us at dconline@dccomics.com or by calling 212-636-5997.
Finally, DC will not use or transfer Personal Information in ways unrelated to the ones described above without also providing you with an opportunity to opt out of such unrelated uses, provided, however, that in the event of a sale or transfer of substantially all of the assets of DC to a third party, all Personal Information in our possession or control may be transferred to such third party, subject to the restrictions set forth herein.
Collection of Information by Third-Party Sites and Sponsors.
Some of our sites contain links to other sites whose information practices may be different than ours. Visitors should consult the other sites' privacy policies as we have no control over information that is submitted to, or collected by, these third parties.
DC may sometimes make third party contests, sweepstakes or promotions available through the Site. By virtue of these relationships, the third parties may obtain, directly from you, personally identifiable information that you voluntarily submit to participate in the activity. DC has no control over these third parties' use of this information. The rules and privacy policy applicable to any such contests, sweepstakes or promotions should be consulted for the pertinent details over the use of such information.
Cookies
To enhance your experience with the Site, many of our web pages use "cookies". Cookies are text files we place in your computer's browser to store your preferences. Cookies, by themselves, do not tell us your email address or other Personal Information unless you choose to provide this information to us by, for example, registering at the Site. However, once you choose to furnish us with Personal Information through the Site, this information may be linked to the data stored in the cookie.
We use cookies to understand Site usage and to improve the content and offerings on the Site. For example, we may use cookies to personalize your experience at our web pages (e.g., to recognize you by name when you return to the Site) and save your password in password-protected areas. We also may use cookies to offer you products, programs or services.
In our commitment to security, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access, maintain data security and correctly use the information we collect online.
How You Can Access or Correct Information
For instructions on how you can access your Personal Information, please send a request to: Webmaster, DC Comics, 1700 Broadway, New York, NY 10019. To protect your privacy and security, we will take reasonable steps to help verify your identity before granting access or making corrections.
Special Note for Parents

Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a resident of the State of California, under the California Civil Code, you have the right to request from companies conducting business in California a list of all third parties to which the company has disclosed personally identifiable information during the preceding year for direct marketing purposes. Alternatively, the law provides that if a company has a privacy policy that gives either an opt-out (which we may sometimes refer to as "unsubscribe") or opt-in choice for use of your personally identifiable information by third parties (such as advertisers or affiliated companies) for marketing purposes, the company may instead provide you with information on how to exercise your disclosure choice options.
DC qualifies for the alternative option - it has this Privacy Policy and provides you with details on how you may either opt-out or opt-in to the use of your Personal Information by third parties for direct marketing purposes. Therefore, we are not required to maintain or disclose a list of the third parties that received your Personal Information for marketing purposes during the preceding year.
If you are a California resident and request information about how to exercise your third party disclosure choices you must send a request to the following address with a preference on how our response to your request should be sent (email or postal mail). Send an email to the Privacy Administrator at dconline@dccomics.com, or you may contact us via regular mail at:
DC Comics
1700 Broadway
New York, NY 10019
Attention: Privacy Administrator
All requests sent via regular mail must be labeled "Your California Privacy Rights" on the envelope or post card and clearly stated on the actual request. For all requests, please include your name, street address, city, state and zip code (your street address is optional if you wish to receive a response to your request via email, but please include your zip code for our own recordkeeping). We will not accept requests via the telephone or by facsimile. We are not responsible for notices that are not labeled or sent properly, or that do not have complete information.
How to Contact Us
